Update - 04 April 2007: Sorry about the typo error I made yesterday about the load deadline. I’ll be out of town the whole weekend. I currently have very limited credits in my load wallet. If you have any load request, you can double-check with me first through SMS.

Advisory

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

Please be advised that the LoadCentral Vanity number is currently not available. Please use the backup LoadCentral Access numbers 0918-9064656 or 0917-8662418 temporarily.

And to those experiencing access problems to the webtool when using http://webtool.loadcentral.com.ph address, you may be experiencing a DNS-related problem with your internet provider. Just in case, please do not forget that an alternate link is available.

If the webtool site remains inaccessible despite the alternate link, LoadCentral is may be conducting a quick techincal maintenance (like server restart). Just try to visit again after 5-10 minutes.

Kung Hei Fat Choi to all! May the positive stars shine upon you during the Fire Year of the Pig!

Now for LoadCentral-related news, I’m posting the following update:

LoadCentral Discount Structure for Retailers Updated (16 Feb 07)

LoadCentral’s Online Helpdesk

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

I apologize for this delay of update. LoadCentral has decided to discontinue using Yahoo Messenger chat for their online helpdesk. However, their HELPDESK or customer support is still easy to reach. LoadCentral has made available a live chat page for HELPDESK. The address is http://www.loadcentral.com.ph/helpdesk/livehelp.php . The link can also be found on the LoadCentral’s Webtool. You can also find the link on the right side bar of this page.

Page and Category - updated

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

I added new categories regarding the updates here for easier reference.

Please note that I also modified the How to buy load credits page in order to add information that BPI online fund transfer is free of charge if transfer is made between 2 BPI accounts. This is a good alternative to retailers who do not reside within Metro Manila and wish to avoid paying the over-the-counter fee when making inter-branch deposit transactions.

LoadCentral Webtool Locking

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

Most of you probably were surprised with the sudden downtime of LoadCentral system last night. It began sometime around 5pm yesterday. Then I received a notification from LoadCentral about a major system upgrade. It seems the system upgrade has something to do with a security feature set by LoadCentral to lock webtool via mobile phone.

The email message below which I received a couple of hours ago provides detailed information regarding the new security feature. So kindly make time to read it.

Dear Partner,

We have successfully uploaded last night the web tool locking feature of the system. All users of the LoadCentral web tool who have registered a mobile number as their account can deny any unauthorized access by simply sending a text message to LoadCentral access numbers. This is particularly useful for accounts that have no static IP addresses and are currently set on dynamic IP. At the end of the day, a dealer, sub-dealer or retailer can lock his web tool so even if the username and password were compromised, nobody will be able to access the account thru the web. Periodic changing of password is still a good practice though.

To lock the web tool, please type:

LockPassword

Send to LoadCentral access number.

Dealer/Sub-Dealer/Retailer will receive a confirmation message from the system:

LoadCentral: Weblock status was successfully changed. Your account is now locked.

To unlock the web tool, please type:

UnlockPassword

Send to LoadCentral access number.

Dealer/Sub-Dealer/Retailer will receive a confirmation message from the system:

LoadCentral: Weblock status was successfully changed. Your account is now unlocked.

Please inform your sub-dealers and retailers.

Merry Christmas!

For those who were greatly inconvenienced by the system downtime last night and lack of advance notification, I apologize on behalf of LoadCentral.
