Please note that I have confirmed several times with LoadCentral
support for the past week that 2948 is officially available again for
LoadCentral users with registered Smart, Talk N’ Text or Sun mobile
numbers.

Just in case what happened around 26th
of August 2009 where LoadCentral Access Number 2948 became quite
unstable/erratic, just revert back to using any of the following
backup LoadCentral Access Numbers (LCAN) which are ALWAYS online and
available for your SMS queries:

Smart - 09209456856, 09209456857
Globe - 09178662418
Sun - 09228504340

Please also note that you may want to take advantage of unlimited text
offerings of your carrier as sending SMS queries via backup
LoadCentral Access Numbers since standard cost for sending SMS may
apply in this case. (Reason for text cost: An SMS query to a backup
LCAN is just like sending a text message to a local mobile phone
number.)

For Globe and TM user, for additional reference, there was an advisory
in the middle of June 2009 regarding use of 2948 which remains in
effect:
