Multiple SMS sending

Hello retailers and subdealers! Please be informed of the following information and update from the LoadCentral GM regarding the issue on multiple SMS sending.

Message Date: 09 August 2006 7:08 PM

We have some cases recently where it seemed that the carriers are doing multiple sending of SMS beyond the 10-minute time stamp that we have established in the platform. The time stamp was put in place to prevent unwanted double or multiple sending of identical transaction requests that could result in “buy 1-take 1 (or more)” scenarios. We have established before that the maximum time interval for multiple sending was 7 to 8 minutes. The most common happens within seconds or sometimes every minute or two. Hence, when our retailers made an identical transaction within the 10-minute time stamp, they received a message from the system:

LoadCentral: Identical sale request within 10 mins not allowed.Sell gmxmax25 not processed. Send “<PRODCODE> <PASSWORD> <BUYERNUMBER> <QTY>” if u want 2 process.

To avoid disputes on whether the retailer made a double transaction or a carrier did a multiple SMS sending, we are increasing the time stamp to twenty four (24) hours. If a retailer attempted to sell the same product denomination to the same recipient within 24 hours, our system will reply with the following message:

LoadCentral: Identical sale request not processed. Please change the prefix of the buyer’s mobile number from 09 to 639 or from 639 to 09 and try again.

Therefore, for those retailers that are selling the e-PINs to their own numbers most of the time, all they need to do is type alternately their number using the 2 prefixes, eg. SB300<space><6-digit password><space> 0918xxxxxxx followed by SB300<space><6-digit password><space> 63918xxxxxxx followed by SB300<space><6-digit password><space> 0918xxxxxxx, and so on.

We will upload this into production tomorrow at 12 noon.
